Impartiality

The PFI certification body operates based on the principle of impartiality.

Certification services are available to all interested customers under the same conditions, following documented procedures and defined cost structures. The principle of equal treatment is strictly applied when handling customer inquiries and orders.

The management and employees of the certification body are free from commercial, financial, or other influences that could affect their impartiality. They are committed to impartiality, objectivity, and confidentiality in their work. They remain independent concerning applicants, certified organisations, and individuals.

All PFI personnel – including permanent staff of the certification body – do not provide consultancy services for management systems in the accredited field. The certification body does not offer training for individual companies and does not conduct internal audits for customers. Additionally, PFI does not certify the certification activities of other certification bodies.

The objectivity, confidentiality, and impartiality of certification activities and decisions are not influenced by affiliated entities or cooperation with other organisations, companies, or individuals. If impartiality is at risk, certification will not be carried out.

The Committee for Safeguarding Impartiality supports the certification body in developing fundamental regulations regarding impartiality, preventing any commercial or other tendencies that may compromise objective assessments, and advising on issues affecting trust in certification.
