innovation and business alliance develops biotechnology-based processes and applications that support innovation-driven change in the structurally weak region of Western Palatinate. The innovation concept focuses on the production of bio-based raw materials (green building blocks) for use in innovative plastics and adhesives, smart composites, and the manufacture of high-quality bio-based additives for cosmetics and food, for example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The by-products that inevitably arise in the process are optimally utilised in terms of both material and energy, in particular by converting them into chemical energy sources such as methane or methanol and into biomass. This improves the utilisation of raw materials and reduces the often still high costs of bio-based materials through additional revenues. The scientific and technical objectives addressed are being implemented in numerous individual and joint projects involving various alliance partners from the region. The Strategy2Value project is responsible for the content management and coordination of the entire network, taking into account the overarching objectives and the strategic development of the alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the joint project, the PFI focused on monitoring ongoing W2V projects, coordinating the content of accompanying projects, and developing financing and utilization concepts. The project partner, the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern, concentrates on alliance coordination, communication and public relations, transregional networking, innovation transfer, and exploitation strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The project with the <strong>funding code FKZ 03WIR4516B <\/strong> is financially supported by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space (BMFTR) as part of the \u201cWIR!
