How can companies proactively manage and live sustainability?

The ISC course "Sustainability Manager" provides all the necessary tools and important expertise for industry and trade

The topic of sustainability has arrived at the centre of society. The textile, shoe and leather goods industry also has to deal intensively with the multi-layered facets. But what exactly does sustainable business mean? How can sustainability be anchored in companies? Are all employees aware of the requirements and dimensions that sustainable work entails?

The Pirmasens-based institutes PFI and ISC support the industry in designing sustainable, forward-looking business models. As an example, the PFI supports companies in obtaining/awarding sustainability/environmental seals, while the ISC course "Sustainability Manager" teaches all the basics, tools and standards on the topic of sustainability.

The certificate course is aimed at professionals at manufacturers, brands and trading companies who are responsible for the topic of sustainability in their companies, either in its entirety or in sub-areas, and actively want to promote sustainable management in their own organisation as well as along the supply chain. In two one-week course modules, participants are enabled to proactively shape and control sustainability in their own company with the help of sustainability-oriented management processes. After passing the final examination, participants receive a certificate. Institute Director Dr. Kerstin Schulte appeals to the industry to make use of this valuable know-how: "It is high time to tackle the subject. The ISC course provides all the necessary tools to implement effective and successful sustainability management in one's own company."

The course will take place in two modules at ISC Pirmasens: Module 1 from 4 - 8 October 2021, Module 2 from 18 - 22 October 2021. Registrations and further information at infoisc-germanycom.
