Connecting Minds in Digital Health

On 09 November, we had the opportunity to draw attention to our institute with an information stand at the conference on the digital future of health - Connecting Minds in Digital Health - at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences in Zweibrücken. With events like these, the Open Digitalisation Alliance Palatinate wants to "bring science, business and the next generation together and develop new ideas for the field of people - digitalisation - health". Various insights from science and business awaited visitors. The focus of the event was on the topics of health and digitalisation. Institutes such as the PFI, companies from the region and universities had the opportunity to exchange information about the latest research projects, interesting solutions and successes.

"I found the combination of entertaining lectures on the most diverse topics of digitalisation and the opportunity to exchange ideas with the visitors and company representatives in a relaxed atmosphere during the Ideas L(a)unches extremely enriching," reports Maximilian Wagner, who presented our institute on site as a research assistant. The sports scientist is involved in research on wearables at the International Shoe Competence Center (ISC), a department of the PFI (link project).

Visitors were particularly enthusiastic about the keynote speech by Dr. Patrick Kramer, aka "Chief Cyborg Officer", who is one of the world's leading thought leaders for the digital transformation of humans themselves.

The organisers also did a good job of networking between young professionals and companies from the region. Our employees were able to present our training and further education opportunities on site and answer questions. "So far, the ISC has offered various seminars and courses on the topic of shoes. In the future, we plan to increasingly pass on the comprehensive know-how of our experts in the field of biomechanics in compact teaching units," reports Steffen Eichhorn, Head of Department at the ISC.

We are pleased that we were able to participate in this very successful event of the Alliance Open Digitalisation Palatinate, with the experts of the Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences (HSKL), the Technical University of Kaiserslautern (TUKL) and the InnoNet HealthEconomy e.V.
